Charity & Fundraising
Abingdon Young Farmers is a registered charity, we raise money throughout the year to put back into the club for it to continue to run successfully. Each year we select a local charity to donate to. Throughout the year we take part in a number of fundraising events to raise money for local charities.
Our chosen charities for 2017/2018 is:
Sobell House offers physical, social and spiritual care to those facing life threatening illnesses, death and bereavement. Their mission is to enrich the lives of their patients and those who love and care for them in the communities in which they operate across Oxfordshire.
the Nathan tomkins trust
The Nathan Tomkins Trust formed this year following the death of a well known Worcestershire Young Farmer member Nathan Tomkins. The Trust aims to raise awareness and funds to offer support for mental health related issues within clubs, societies and groups in the local community. The Trust will also support events and ongoing programmes within these groups that will raise the participation of individuals that need that extra support.

We aim to support local charities rather than national so that our funding can make a difference to the organisation. If you run a charity that you think would benefit from our fundraising we would love to hear from you.
The charities are selected by vote at the annual AGM in September.
